But for now, it’s time for the State of the Sanderson: my yearly wrap-up post where I tell you in-depth about everything I’m working on. Eventually perhaps I’ll be able to explain more of why that is. It’s been a strange year for me, for more than one reason. Regardless, I continue to be deeply grateful to all of you who continue to follow me on this journey. At the same time, it feels really soon to be gearing up for the daunting task of writing another Stormlight book–and book five (the final volume of the first sequence) at that. After 2020 (which felt like it lasted an eternity), perhaps I should be grateful. Is it me, or does it feel like this year just kind of vanished into vapors? I can’t believe we’re already back to December and I’m working on another State of the Sanderson.
